Look who is five months old today!

We celebrated by feeding Levi rice cereal for the first time.
He slurped it right up! Yum!

Celebrating the 4th of July

I am thankful that we can raise our family in a
free country. God, please bless the men and
women who continue to fight for our freedom!

Enjoying Summer Vacation

How did she grow up so fast?

starting to drool!

It has been a while since my last update

Yikes! Summer is practically half over! May was a busy month for us, as it is for most families. Brice turned 33 years old, Isaac graduated from preschool and then turned 5 years old. Brice and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary, Abigail finished first grade with flying colors, Ethan was potty trained and Levi started smiling, smiling, smiling!

Levi's Dedication Service, Sunday May 4

As with each of our kids, last Sunday, Brice & I committed to
raising Levi with God's help. We know we have a
huge responsibility as parents and we also know we can't
do it alone. We need God's strength and wisdom.

Garage Sale

We had a garage sale this past Saturday - our first one ever! My parents and my sister-in-law were here to help and we had a lot of fun. Brice and I definitely couldn't have done it by ourselves and we are almost positive it wouldn't have been fun either! We were able to get rid of so much "stuff"! We set up a lemonade stand for Abigail and she was so excited about that. She made $29!

Looking back to one year ago today...

Ethan had his second heart surgery. The surgeon cut right along his left shoulder bone and put in another patch to make his aortic artery wider. Ethan's heart has been stable ever since. According to his cardiologist, the next major "test" of how well Ethan's heart will do will be around age five, when kids typically hit another big growth spurt. We pray that his heart will continue to keep up with his growth. He continues to act like a healthy 2 1/2 year old. I am ashamed to say that there are many times when I wish I could get a break from him because his whining is driving me crazy, or I am tired of picking up after him, etc. I almost didn't have the chance to do these things for him. God is good at reminding me of this and I am thankful for His grace which allows me to try again the next day to be grateful for the incredible blessing that Ethan is in my life. I can't imagine my life without him.
